Founded in 2001 by Doctors Mark and Kelly Gottschalk, Wellesley Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital located in the far West End of Richmond, Virginia, near Short Pump Mall. In addition to Doctors Mark and Kelly Gottschalk, the hospital currently employs three associate veterinarians, five licensed Veterinary Technicians (Veterinary Nurses) and a variety of support staff to make up your pet's health care team.

Our mission is to provide high quality veterinary care for pets in the Richmond area and exceptional customer service for their owners. Wellesley Animal Hospital provides medical and surgical care for small animals including birds, reptiles, rabbits, rodents, and other exotic animals in addition to dogs and cats.
